Wife of Charles Reed, 73, Dies at Son's Home, Dry Hill

Mrs. Carrie Loucks Reed, 73, wife of Charles Reed, was found dead Thursday morning, December 23, at the home of her son, Eugene Reed, Dry Hill, Adams Center, where she had resided for ten years. Mrs. Reed apparently died in her sleep sometime during the night. She was discovered Thursday morning by a member of the family who went in to wake her.
Mrs. Reed was born in Rodman, February 25, 1875, the daughter of Samuel and Samantha Pettingill Loucks. She was married November 28, 1893 to Charles Reed, who survives her.
Also living besides her husband in Syracuse, is her son with whom she resided, a daughter, Mrs. Myron (Lena) Babbitt, Syracuse, and a sister, Mrs. Leon Kilmer, Adams.
Mrs. Reed was a member of the Honeyville Baptist Church, the Adams Center Grange and the Honeyville Ladies' Aid.
