CHARLES REED DEAD, AGED 86
Loraine, May 27, - Charles H. reed , 86 a former resident of this area, died Monday noon
at a nursing home in Syracuse, where he had been a patient a week.
The funeral will be at 2 pm Thursday at the Piddock funeral home, Adams. Rev. Charles B.
Wallace, supply pastor at the Adams First Baptist Church at Honeyville, will Officiate.
Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Rodman.
Mr. Reed is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Myron (Lena) Babbitt of Syracuse, with whom he
had lived for the past twelve years, and a son. Eugene D. Reed, Adams Center.
Mr, Reed was born May 28,1871, in the town of Worth, a son of William and Lettie Graham
Reed. Until twelve years ago he lived on farms in the Lorraine, Worth and Adams areas.
He married Miss Carrie Loucks on November 28, 1893 at the Methodist Parsonage ay Barnes
Corners. Mrs. Reed died December 23, 1948.
Mr. Reed was a member of the Sons of Veterans, Adams, and the Lorraine Grange.
